DJ Switch
When he was eleven, something would happen that would change him forever – he discovered turntables. Since then, he changes every night, evolving into a scratch demon who drives insatiable music lovers into a mad frenzy…he becomes DJ SWITCH!!! Despite being only 21, he remains undefeated in world-level DJ-DJ combat, with a hefty collection of titles to his name.
* 3 x DMC UK Battle Champion (2006-2008)
* 2 x DMC UK Team Champion w/ Bionic Stylus (2008-2009)
* 2 x DMC World Battle Champion (2008-2009)
But power is nothing without control, and Switch has tamed his unique abilities, combining them with blistering track selection for his live performances – no music is too soulful, too sweet, too filthy, too dirty or too good to be omitted. The word eclectic ultimately loses all meaning. This creature leaves a trail of exhausted but ultimately satisfied clubbers in his wake.
Yet he hides these abilities behind a smiling daytime persona, becoming the ultimate Z-list celebrity. This Brummie can be spotted chatting with celebrities on Blue Peter and the Weakest Link, dropping beats from Radio 1 to 1Xtra, and even showing his unshaven face in the odd magazine – from IDJ to Mixmag, even the Daily Mirror.
It’s shocking to think that he’s has chalked up headline gigs from Bulgaria to China to Denmark to every county in England. And his CV reads like a who’s who – from Jazzy Jeff to Jack Beats, from Skinnyman to the Scratch Perverts, other names such as Beardyman, the Foreign Beggars, even old school heroes Q-Bert and Public Enemy. Switch is also very proud to have been made a resident DJ at Leicester’s most exciting and forefront night, Filthy Beats.
This guy is not one to just play it safe. Laying down cuts and scratches for multiple mixtapes and albums; becoming a tutor at the DJ Academy from which he graduated, specialising in advanced mixing & turntabism; youth reform training & DJ masterclasses. His DJ crew Bionic Stylus are the reigning DJ team champions for the UK. His other scratch crew the Brotherhood Of Filth are bringing together the disparate worlds of hard filthy dubstep and hardcore turntablism. And his performances of Gabriel Prokofiev’s “Concerto For Turntables & Orchestra” have been stupendously well received by audiences, critics, audiences of critics and critical audiences.
So what does the future have in store? The aim of claiming his third consecutive world title in 2010, a feat achieved by only one other DJ ever, rearing his head at more festivals across the planet, and of course continuing to tear it up live on the ones and twos.

Myogeniks
Idren Sound
Hailing from the rolling Swiss mountains, “The Original Mountain Crew,” Reggae, Roots and Dancehall legends will be making guest appearances with Okoru throughout the season. Recent victors at The Spring Reggae Soundclash and Who Takes The Trophy Soundclash expect them to be on winning form. Their hugely successful albums “Legalise The Mountain” parts I and II has given them international stature and led to them to recording tracks with Buddha Monk of the Wu Tang Clan amongst others. To say they control the crowd like no other would be an understatement, their performance energy, mixed with their outstanding collection of every type of reggae music leads to a show that you need to see to believe. One Love.
